Fabulous Relationship Topic: Would You Propose to Your Boyfriend???

So ladies I was watching Love & Hip Hop (yes, yes I was, it's a guilty pleasure since there's rarely anything on, lol) and there was an episode where Chrissy proposed to her boyfriend of 6 years rapper Jim Jones.  Chrissy stated that she is a woman who goes for what she wants and she believed that Jimmy would propose but not until he purchased that million dollar ring which is not what Chrissy needed or wanted.  Chrissy decided to take matters into her own hands and propose to him at a gathering she set up with family and friends. 

I watched this proposal and me being the person I am I thought it was sweet and sincere and I respected Chrissy for proposing to her man especially in front of family and friends.  She just showed that she loves her man and wants to marry him, end of story.  I didn't think twice about the fact that it was a woman proposing to a man, I mean it is 2011.  I am engaged now myself but if I wasn't would I have done the same?? Probably... The answer will either be Yes or No, so either way it goes at least I would've known where I stood.

By the way Jimmy said, "I'm with you", which was his guy version of Yes.

After this episode aired there were some women who respected Chrissy's proposal and some who said the old fashion way is the only way to go with the man proposing to the woman. So ladies my question to you is it being 2011 and all would you propose to your man or is the old fashion way the only way for you?
