More of the Best Dollhouse Day Ever!

If you have been following My Realitty's blog you know about our visit to Ann Meehan during our dollhouse road trip through Pennsylvania last month. Carol has shown you some of Ann's incredible collection, and I have a few pictures to add to the tour.

Ann was gracious, and fun and a delight to spend the day with. I don't think I have ever had a better dollhouse day in my life. Visit Ann's website here to see more and to shop. Don't forget to have a look at her newsletters. This is a great way to gain knowledge of antique miniatures.
Peek through the window of this wonderful house ...
And you will see a lovely young lady at her toilette.

Most of these houses are larger than 1:12 scale. The dolls are approximately 10"-12" high and the furniture is the perfect scale for them.
This wonderful townhouse has a beautifully detailed exterior.
As Carol mentioned in her posts, I fell in love with Treenware. Treenware is the old name for small handcrafted wooden items. The colorful dishes in the dresser are Treen.
I also fell in love with this magnificent house. Ann is in the process of putting the final touches on its interior.

Unlike many houses in Ann's collection this one has an open back. Most have doors on the front or side and open that way.
I was intrigued by the very lifelike billiard table. I put my hand in the picture for scale.

Don't you just love the linoleum?

It all seems like a dream now. Carol and I were two lucky collectors that day. And we are very grateful for it.
