Antique Wooden Mail Cart

This is a great find I picked at local auction.

I have been told that this is the Wooden Mail Cart, Antique!
It has "Royal Mail Cart" with Patent number on side handle, stamped.
Since it has "Royal" stamed on a handle, I'm assuming it is from either
United Kingdom or Cananda.

It is a wooden pull cart with wheels made of wood spokes and metal.
Very rare indeed!
It will be a great decoration piece for a restaurant, bar or
any furniture store.

I am proud to introduce this piece.
If you know anything about the history or origin about this
mail cart, I would like to hear from you.

Also, I will be happy to be entertained by serious offers.
If you are interested, make me an offer.

Any serious or reasonable offers will not be refused.
Dimension: L 56" x H 30.5"

Brief History of Limoges of France related to this posting:

"Limoges" porcelain ware is a generic term, because various factories and different studio artists manufactured and decorated a wide range of these wares during the 19th and 20th centuries. The first porcelain factory was established in Limoges, France, around 1771, a few years after the discovery of kaolin, or white clay, in nearby Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche. The expansion in factory production from five factories and seven kilns in 1808, to 35 factories and 120 kilns by 1900, reflected the increasing demand for Limoges porcelain ware.
  1. "Coronet"

    • "Coronet" Limoges generally refers to the maker's mark that appeared on the back of selected Limoges porcelain items. This particular mark is linked to Limoges porcelain ware manufactured in Europe and decorated in studios in Limoges, Paris and Germany before being exported overseas. As its name suggests, the mark is a crown with the brand name "Coronet," usually in green or blue colors.

POND PICTURES AND ITEMS FOR SALE FOR BUTCHY

Hey Pals,

Thank you to everyone for your kind words & messages.  We don't know how we would get through things without all of you beside us.  Butchy had another seizure last night and is very very tired today.  But the tiredness is normal for him for a whole day after having a seizure.  Hopefully Butchy will be more himself tomorrow.

* * IMPAWTANT SCOOP * *
We hope you can visit our good pal Gussie's blog today as he has posted the first item up for bid in his auction to help raise money for Butchy's medications.  They will be listing one item per day.  So please stop by to check out today's item.  Thank you so much Gussie!!

After we post some pond pictures, we will have photos of the first set of items we have for sale to go for Butchy's meds too.  So be sure to scroll below to view the items.

We took a few pond pictures yesterday to show you.  Things are starting to green up around here, but the ponds will look much better in about 3-4 weeks when the iris and waterlilies are blooming

The pond farther back in the photo is actually the largest pond and that is where the koi live.  Once the pampass grass and other grasses grow, they will stand about 8 feet above the back end of the pond.

Here is Koi Sylvester:

The yellow fish is Koi Sugar: (she is one of our large breeding females)

And here's me Katie!  Hmmmm, what is that buzzing sound we hear?  Mama said it was the humming birdies.

Ok, now for our items we need to sell.  This first item is actually an antique Fox Terrier Wheelie, probably made by Schuco in Germany.  Since this is one of the antiques we have to sell, it is not the price of our other items that we will have here.

Antique Wire Fox Terrier on Wheels, probably made by Schuco, 1940-50's  Price  $160.00 plus shipping
The head does swivel and the wheels turn.  Mama has completely professionally cleaned the furs and she will repair the broken nose stitching.
